Clique Records

Small lecture on the electronic music scene and labels in Zurich (Nicola Kazimir) and record sale (until the end of the festival: Saturday 5th October). The afterparty at the Edge starts at 21:00.

Nicola Kazimir

A DJ, producer, artist, curator, space-owner, record-label owner and party organizer, Nicola Kazimir works freely across platforms and communities. He is the main curator of an offspace called Mikro which is responsible of rejunavating Zürichs nightlife scene and giving a new and young generation aspirations to approach and experiment with music/dj sets beyond the static club-norms. Musically Nicola refuses genre stigmas and tackles any obscure composition he wants to – mostly self-releasing his music on the collectively shared and worldwide distributed labels “Les Points” and “Gentrified Underground”.

Lexx

Lexx was part of the nu disco movement that emerged around 2004. At the same time he was part of the Drumpoet Community and released several Deep House tunes. In 2015 he founded the label Phantom Island Records together with Kejeblos, Ron and Tobi of Fuga Ronto. They have 15 releases so far. Since then he earned himself a top reputation within the international Dj circus. His album ‘Cosmic Shift’ got released in June of this year and is a smartly crafted blend of styles from start to finish. Soulful sounds of the inner city meets distinct melodies with a longing for an island in the sun.

Odd J

Odd J aka Yoo Hyun Seung is deeply embedded in Seoul’s nightlife and he is also responsible for importing great talents to add to the growing electronic scene in Korea with DJs like Daniel Wang, Antal, Raphael Top Secret etc. He is also one of the face behind Clique Records, a small independent record shop dedicated to underground electronic music based in Euljiro, Seoul. Odd J regularly plays at the city’s best venues with no musical boundaries. Disco, boogie, new wave, funk, electro & Italo, effortlessly rub shoulders with house, techno, breakbeat, dub and whatever else he feels like.
